We ❤️ Malletts Bay

Welcome to your community united in our love for Malletts Bay

Malletts Bay is the center of our home, why many of us choose to live in Colchester.

Sadly, it is under threat.

The threat of toxins and pollutants carried by stormwater runoff directly into the waters in which we swim and on which we boat. Where we fish, sail, and paddle. Where we picnic and play with our children.

Fortunately, this threat is known and entirely fixable should our elected officials decide to act on the information which they have had now for six years. The reports are linked below.

And you can help be the change we need to see by doing these three simple things:

  1. Share our Facebook group with friends and family who value Malletts Bay as much as we do
  2. Share photos of Malletts Bay that we can post on our Instagram account
  3. Send an email to the Colchester Town Manager and Select Board Members:
“Please prioritize the protection of Malletts Bay and eliminate the pathogens and toxins from the 14 direct discharges of stormwater into our beloved bay by the end of next year, 2024.” Share their responses in our Facebook group so that all of us will know which of our town leaders loves the bay as much as we do.

Thank you for being the change we need to see to ensure Malletts Bay can and will be a safe place once again.
